The Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2026 has officially announced the return of the G2E Dealer Championship, scheduled for September 29 to October 1. This much-anticipated event invites the finest casino dealers to compete for the prestigious title of best dealer in North America.
This year, the competition will extend its reach beyond U.S. borders, welcoming participants from Canada and Mexico. Following a successful debut in 2025, the event will occupy a larger space on the show floor, allowing more attendees to witness the thrilling competition live.
We are thrilled to bring back the G2E Dealer Championship after its enthusiastic reception last year. This event not only highlights the remarkable skills of casino dealers but also emphasizes their crucial role in enhancing the overall gaming experience.
Competitors will showcase their skills in blackjack and traditional roulette, each participating in 15-minute rounds. They will be assessed on various criteria, including technical proficiency, hospitality, and game control. The multi-day event will feature elimination rounds, culminating in cash prizes for the top three competitors.
In its inaugural year, the G2E Dealer Championship attracted 34 dealers from across the United States. Elleonor Hoffman from Graton Resort & Casino in Rohnert Park, California, emerged as the champion, winning $5,000 and earning the title of “World’s Best Dealer.”
The competition is open to full-time, part-time, and dual-rate dealers, who must be nominated by their employers—state and tribal-regulated casino operators throughout North America. Each nomination requires a judge from the same property, and nominators must hold a director-level position or above within table games.
