New York's Sports Betting Revenue Growth
The New York State Gaming Commission has unveiled impressive statistics for mobile sports betting, showing a notable increase in gross gaming revenue (GGR) for the fiscal year running from April 2025 to March 2026.
This past year, GGR rose to an impressive $2.6 billion, a significant jump from the $2.1 billion recorded in the 2024-25 fiscal year. This 21% increase highlights a thriving market that continues to capture the interest of bettors across the state.
Handle Growth in Sports Betting
The total sports betting handle also experienced a positive trend, climbing 9.3% from $23.9 billion to $26.2 billion. These figures indicate a growing engagement among sports enthusiasts, eager to place bets on their favorite teams and events.
March was particularly noteworthy, as mobile sports betting handle reached $2.3 billion, representing a month-on-month surge of 16%. However, this figure marks a 4.5% decline compared to the $2.4 billion recorded in the same month last year. This fluctuation is an important aspect for analysts to monitor as it reflects seasonal trends and shifts in consumer behavior.

In comparison to last March’s $161.8 million, this represents an impressive 34.2% increase. This growth trajectory suggests that operators are not only attracting more bets but also benefiting from higher stakes and better odds offered to bettors.
